Home away from Home Clean, friendly, professional, and plenty
Absolutely horrible. We were supposed to stay for a week and left after the first night and went to a different hotel. It smelled like stale beer and urine. The fridge had stuff left in it. I felt like there were bugs crawling on me all night and woke up with several bug bites. The tub didn't drain. The bathroom fan didn't work. There was something that looked like blood on the inside of the shower curtain. There was something stuck in the carpet that stabbed into my foot. Definitely would not recommend.
Was here on a work trip so I did not book this hotel. Room was booked for me. Room was decent. Had a queen size bed. Looked up the hotel before this week (7-20-25 thru 7-26-25) and stayed Monday night only (7-21-25). Saw the hotel had a fitness center (hooray!), but what I saw didn’t match the photos on reviews I saw online. We booked a two double bed room. If you are a family of three and two people need to share the 2 double beds, then the beds are too narrow and you will have an uncomfortable sleepless night. This was our experience but the owner refused to listen and says that all the hotel room beds in all of Iowa and the USA are the same. This is false. We have stayed in other hotels comfortably.
