The Sunday brunch was the best ever!
My husband and I have been in Iowa for a year now and we had not made it to Americana yet, but with my in laws visiting this week, my mother-inlaw and I went in for lunch before we hit the sculpture park. She had the strawberry spinach salad and I had the panini grilled cheese. My mother-inlaw said her salad was delicious, and my grilled cheese sandwich was excellent. Terrible customer service.
Environment was nice for the reason I was there. Waitress was nice. However their food made me sick and I will never eat there again. I almost vomited in my husband’s car when he came to pick me up. There weren’t many options to choose from for dinner.
Americana is a stylish yet inviting downtown eatery, offering a wide range of appetizers/small plates, entrees, drinks and more. We've been a few times now and I have made a commitment to return more frequently. Terrific staff, INCREDIBLE Crab Rangoon Dip, and a fantastic view of the downtown Sculpture Park, we (wifey and I) recommend everyone take advantage of this Top 10 Des Moines restaurant (our own personal ranking...) Cheers!
