Our experiences mirror many of those documented by other dissatisfied customers. Water mitigation went fairly well once the proper moisture readings were done which required removing more of our flooring which extended the dry time. The original mitigation team stated they didn't remove the proper amount of wet flooring because they didn't have their moisture readers with them. American Water Damage is shady at best. Upgraded water damage in basement from clean water to dirty water to increase their pricing. Insurance company disagreed and company come after me for difference. Poor communication from company. Be leery of this company
They are quick to get out to get mitigation started. Recent project took 9 months. While some of this timeframe is for insurance to negotiate work and rates, the majority of the delay was due to poor communication between American Water Damage and their suppliers. Required me to initiate all follow ups, usually 1 every month, after several promises by them that they would follow up. I am writing to bring to your attention several concerns I have encountered during the recent flooring remodel performed by your company at my residence. Inadequate Padding: The padding used in the flooring installation appears to be thinner than what was initially discussed. Excessive Nails and Staples: I have observed an abundance of nails and staples protruding from the installed flooring.
