I bought my AMSEC safe about 3 years ago. since purchase, I have been trying to get in touch with service off and on over my ESL5 lock. it will not always open up my safe on the first try, even though it sounds like it energizes the mechanism. I've tried changing batteries. I filled out their form online, I've called in and requested call backs, I've sent emails. No one ever returns any contact. Amsec builds a decent product but as many have stated the support they provide after the sale is awful. I would gladly pay for support if it meant not waiting on hold 20 or more minutes, having emails for support ignored and even after you waited for support they say someone will be out and then no one shows up. I have an issue with a well known problem of the ESL5 that when replacing the battery it will lose or rest the lock. I am now locked out of my underbed gun safe and the place it was purchased said they have had nothing but problems with these safes and that is why they stopped carrying them. Bought a safe three years ago. Lock failed. Now being told would need to be drilled. Sucks.
This has to be the worst safe company I've dealt with, so I've had an amsec safe for just over a year and I had a failure with my esl5 lock not recognizing my code, I thought weird I've never had a problem before so I called the place I bought it from to acquire the master reset code, they obtained it for me and I proceeded to use it with no success, now I'm very concerned since I can't get to my valuables, I contacted Hector about this issue and he told me the same b.s. that's all over the internet which is that its an issu... read more
Customer service is non-existing, no response to a lock failure and replacement request, extremely dissatisfied.
