My partner and I went to donate but their machine said my hemoglobin was too low. I knew that wasn't right. My partner was able to give no problem but not me. I turned around and went to OBI and, with a finger prick test instead, was able to donate there (my partner and I had a bet that no, it is not because I'm vegan. I knew I was not anemic!). I had an appointment for noon to donate my blood. I donate blood every 4-5 months so I had the rapid pass and things got done easily. The receptionist was kind. The nurse went through a questionnaire, took my pulse and blood pressure and within 20-25 mins, I was let go after taking blood. Had a pleasant experience.
Broken equipment. Rude staff and management out of touch. Sad there is such a shortage of blood in the market and these people don't seem to care.
