Staff was very kind, it seemed like a very amazing experience to donate platelets but after 3 tries was told I wouldn't be able to donate due to slow blood? I was very disappointed but booked a session to donate blood instead as I have been able to successfully donate several times in the past from different blood donation organizations for several years now. I am often told im a difficult needle stick and eat, hydrate, rest, and otherwise prepare acordingly but it's been very discouraging that I have not been able to succes... read more
I would not recommend donating blood- or anything for that matter here. The head nurse was extremely rude, and the nurse who did my boyfriend’s blood donation double stuck him with the same needle, which is so unbelievably dangerous. The head nurse also took issue with the fact that I wanted to sit next to my boyfriend while he donated, claiming it was against policy even though he was visibly in distress.
