Saturday 2:30 pm confirmed appointment, arrived at 2:15. 45 min drive each way. trying to donate type universal donor blood. Was turned away in a massively rude manner. what a way to find out that despite all the emails and texts asking me to come in, there is no longer a blood shortage after all. Well- I thought they wanted Type O blood and there was a massive shortage but good news! They have all the blood they need! Woohoo! As a terminal cancer patient I had been told differently but my friend trying to donate for me found out that according to midtown Red Cross all is good! Drove 45 minutes (each way of our time) with the appointment they scheduled on their website- no contact. I have appt 1pm and lm here now both 2 ladies told me they are sorry they can't take me why l came early . Their are short staff now come back after 1 hours or reschedule. Realy? I drove 45mn to come their and will give my blood free and u want me to reschedule? . Thank u
Tabitha was awesome. She helped me out and really took care of me. She was kind, professional and will be one of the reasons I donate in the future. Her colleagues were also really nice and funny. This location is highly recommended. Thank you.
