This building has been renovated up to the 8th floor and will continue to the 13th floor shortly. New kitchens, bathrooms, floors, community center, laundry and much more.
The security are great people very friendly. The staff in the back are great also.The women in the back work very hard. It feels like they should have more help. the building is old the carpet is filthy. There are still bugs and mice. The trash rooms are pig pens. Maybe if they hire another staff, they’ll get more done. Whoever owns the building is the one doing a horrible job. If it wasn’t for the security being kind as well as the women who work in back. I’d give it 0 stars

American Postal Workers House was sold to Hudson Valley Property Group in New York a year ago after numerous complaints of poor service and investigation by HUD. Now it is called 801 Residence but still has no social coordinator to serve the over 300 tenants. The building is infested with roaches and mice. The carpet is filthy and has not been shampooed since COVID-19. The staff has been cut half and it still does not have a social coordinator.
