Terrible service. "Policy" apparently explicitly states that a family member can not accompany the patient. I had to go for difficulties breathing and fainting from a severe panic attack, and my spouse was not allowed to accompany me in spite of my terror at ambulances and hospitals, making my issues worse. then today he was taken for another health issue and they refused to let me accompany him, triggering a panic attack and leaving me to wonder if he was okay without even giving me the name of the hospital. Dear AMR Leadership Team, Both Brittany Bruner and William Logan, AEMT with AMR, were the first responders who came to assist my mother-in-law when she was in distress. My husband and I arrived shortly after they did and were incredibly impressed by the care and professionalism they provided. They do a great job! Respect these first responders!
Very poor, in my opinion. Recently needed an ambulance for extraordinary pain from an incarcerated hernia with small bowel obstruction which was a life threatening condition. They said they didn't know how to get through our security gate despite my giving the dispatcher the gate code. They said they never even noticed the call box in the driveway. A siren or flashing their lights would have automatically opened the gate. I'm told by our manager that the dispatcher is supposed to advise the attendants of this. Apparently the... read more
