Don't even know where to begin. Just an awful experience!

Waited forever at the door to be told sit where ever. Waited forever and no one waited on us was not very busy. Menu was torn and falling apart. Drink menu was so worn I couldn't read it we got up and left after waiting over 15 mins at our table without being even acknowledged. We were so looking forward to coming in went to old city hall instead.
Ordered the perch dinner, wasn't even close to perch, ocean or lake, dry and tasteless. There were ten people in our party. I believe that the rest of the food ordered was good, sliders, burgers and salads. If we do return, we will try a burger next time.
Ate at this place last night with friends and burger was dry tasting and if u like sticks for fries ,and the fish is not what the claim it s not perch ,it's more like cod ,nasty tartar sauce and kinda expensive ,so will not visit this place again ,always learn from. Experience ,sorry our kinda place to eat, and waitress was not to be found most the time and it's was very disappointing I will not refer this place to ppl I know ,due to poor service and food to spicy ,
We came to Bay City for a Sunday afternoon of poking around antique stores. Happened upon American Kitchen by default, what a great discovery! The wait staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. My husband had the Rise and Shine burger- two of his favorite food groups, breakfast and a burger. The sweet potato fries were the best I've ever tasted, crispy without any soggy bits. First time here and had an awesome Valentine's Day dinner! The service was super friendly and the food was delicious! We'll be back very very soon!
