Great organization. Love the work that they are doing with trails. Great updates and information.
AHS is one of the best voices for the hikers in this country. Kudos to them for standing up to the loud but small minority of mountain bikers who want to disparage the organization for being what they are: a hiking association looking to protect the interests of hikers. Like many hikers, I also have, use, and enjoy a mountain bike. But not all trails are designed for mechanized travel and AHS's position on the matter is thoughtful and reasonable. It is also supported by the law and public policy.
Just joined the group but after seeing some of the reviews I hope this is not an anti-biking Society or I will be asking for my money back. Please don't let me down. Share the trails.
