I had renewal my membership with AHIMA about 2 months late. They charged $185. 00 for the renewal membership, and they didn't say anything about late renewal. I went to renewal my coding certificate, but They won't let me renewal the certificate. They told me because I had a lapse on membership so they wanted to be pay $218.00 for non membership fee for the renewal of my certificate. I ended up paying $403. 00 I wasn't sure if this was legal.
