AHIMA has lost its professionalism. I submitted an email over 12 days ago requesting an invoice to pay for an online course. They told me the *** is 5-7 days. Its been 12 days. I've called several times and the employees on the front lines speak to you with such disdain and offer no assistance what so ever. I have never had a problem with AHIMA within the last 15 years that I have dealt with them. The generation that works for them now are sullying the reputation of this once fine organization. LOUSY I'VE BEEN SENT IN CIRCLES SINCE FEB. I REQUESTED A REFUND ON A TEST AND SO FAR I'VE GONE THROUGH 7 PEOPLE MY LAST WAS 4/8 WITH " STAR" AND SHE BASICALLY TOLD ME TO GO TO "Customer Relations" WHICH I DID MANY TIME THE PHONE PROMPTS TELL YOU DON'T MAKE SEVERAL REQUEST IT WILL SLOW DOWN THE PROCESSING.

I paid for RHIT exam at the beginning of November. Per their website stated that o would receive an email from ******* within 6 days. I reached out to Ahima several times getting the runaround. Here its January and I still have took my test. Not to mention I have to wait on hold for 2 hours each time I call. Ahima informed me to contact *******. When I contacted ******* they advised me to contact Ahima. They will not let you speak with a supervisor and every email is come back undelivered. Ahima don't follow their on guideli... read more

Their website has been unusable since July of 2024. They attempted to revamp it and in the process, they lost many members information, including ****, membership, and payment. There have been multiple incidents where they have been double charging members but it is impossible to get a hold of anyone in customer service by phone or email. I personally have attempted to call and email half a dozen times. When calling, it's "normal" to wait on hold for over an hour. Had an issue with scheduling my exam (on their end) emailed them-no response, called once waited for 2hrs filled a claim, waited for another month, no response, called again-2hr wait, I do not have that much time to waste on that. AHIMA please fix your customer service issue ****. Some people are waiting to start working!!!!!

I have reached out to Ahima several times for the certification code to take the exam for free since I passed the course. IT has to fix it. and I was hung up on. I took the medical coding course through *****. And was told that if I pass then Ahima will issue a promo code for $300 for the cost of the exam. Ahima needs to be shut down for their actions, I am beginning to think this is a *************

I contacted AHIMA five times today to address an issue over VLAB Access. Every time I call, the call is disconnected after approximately 15 minutes. I also called on my work phone, and the same thing happened, so I know it is not an issue with my personal cell phone. AHIMA's phone customer service is absolutely abysmal.

Contacted them on 8/12/24 because on 8/8/24 I paid ****** to retake the Certification exam and the exam attempts are merged. Reached out to them multiple times to resolve the issue and they do not communicate regarding the issue just say they're experiencing high call volume due to new IT. It has been three weeks and still no resolution and lack of empathy/communication, but they made sure to take the money off my card.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) regarding the persistent challenges I have encountered in obtaining a refund for 2 books that I ordered on 7/3/24 with order # ******** for the amount of $237.55.
