Unfortunately, I have had horrendous billing experiences with AFD. I have repeatedly called their office to inquire about failures to submit claims with delayed or no responses. I have over the past month reached out to the general manager to express my concern and have not received a reply. The dentistry was adequate to suspect, but the billing -dismal, and i'll leave it there. Be aware...

While this practice is ‘in network for my dental insurance, the lab (biopsy from oral surgery) is not ‘in network’. No choice of lab or notification of this fact. Lab fees were an additional $200.00. Beware.

THey do not call to verify you are in network with their dentists so they can charge you exorbitant fees for 10 minutes work. HOrrible horrible place.

I called American Family Dentistry for an emergency appointment. I was scheduled for 11 am and at 10:40 I got a call saying that we’re double booked could I come at 3:30 I explained I was in pain and needed to seen earlier. They didn’t have another time so I accepted the 3:30. At 3:00 they called saying the internet was down at the Germantown location could I go to cordova I said no and cancelled my appointment. They are very unorganized and unprofessional and I will never call again.

Every single person I met while I was there were extremely professional and very nice. They went above and beyond to put me at ease before my oral surgery. I had to go out of my way to go there, but it was well worth it. Dr. Carl Labella was an excellent doctor, and even after hours, when there was a problem with my meds, I called and immediately got him! He straightened out the problem within minutes.(Which even surprised my pharmacy) Never had a doctor that was really available that fast. (Besides the doctor who delivered ... read more

I have terrible dental anxiety and was extremely nervous to go in and have oral surgery. The staff was friendly and comforting as they could tell just how nervous I was. Dr. Labella was very professional and explained everything in great detail about my procedure and what to expect. He was understanding of my anxiety and assured me that what I was feeling was normal and that I would be fine. I am very satisfied with the decision to have my surgery here.

Dr. Harpole and Bonita were awesome. The front office staff were extremely professional, very pleasant, and the wait time was very short. I would highly recommend t his location.
