21 days to get results from Covid tests because of clerical error. 21 days. 2 weeks of work missed because someone "forgot" to put our information in so the lab could send our results back. Called every single day after 4 days of having the test done asking for results and on the 21st day finally got someone that actually cared enough to call the lab and ask what the holdup was. I am very disappoint in the diagnosed received at American Family Care. I am referring to the Alabaster, AL location. My lower right leg and foot was swollen. The skin was purplish in color. I went to AFC on Thursday (June 11, 2020). X-rays were taken. The diagnosed was the leg was inflammatory and given two prescriptions. I went to a vein center the following Monday. Please stop going to the hospital and clogging up the emergency room wanting a test for Covid 19. The Alabaster AFC does these test now, and does a wonderful job at whatever you need to be seen for. Leave the hospital visit for actually needing to being admitted.
Absolute worst experience I have EVER had. I encourage you DO NOT sign the new credit card form. IT IS A SCAM! I was charged 121.50 to my credit card following my appointment due to THEM incorrectly putting in my Insurance information into their system. Since the charge I have been on the phone with American Family Care and my insurance company consistently. They put in so much information incorrectly it has taken FIVE calls with the insurance company to fix everything they did wrong. THEY DID NOT EVEN SPELL MY NAME RIGHT an... read more
I've been here twice before. First time I was here 3 hours before being seen. Second time i was given the wrong prescription. This time, we've been waiting over an hour while listening to some of the staff in the next room laughing and giggling.
Checked in at 8:57 saw doc at 10:00 so not that bad of a wait. He said the afternoon slows down a little. The doctor is knowledgeable and wanted to set up primary care, which I do need. So 5 stars from me
it is a very good place to go , but the new policy i think is not fear, if you don't have a Credit or Debit card you won't be seen even if you wanna pay cash for service, there are a lot of people without CC or DC that also get sick so, not fear policy, good service though
