Giant, expensive scam. They give you a picture of your brain equivalent to a 1960's weather forecast and tell you to take 9000% more supplements than your body can handle to "utilize the building blocks of life" to repair yourself. They also refer you to a bunch of online programs, which all fall under the Amen branding. They claim their products are not FDA approved because "the FDA is scared of them".
RecommendedThe Amen Clinic takes the guessing game out of mental illness. Being diagnosed incorrectly and starting and stopping a barrage of very strong medications is DANGEROUS. It's during those times that I came closest to committing suicide. Psychiatrist don't test for parasites, hormones, Lyme Disease, Epstein-Barr, metal toxicity, OR traumatic brain injury. Forty percent of people with mental problems actually have TBI.
Get rid of Dr. Michael Seyffert. The first Dr we saw years ago who is no longer there was awesome and really started to help us. Then this clown didn't look at any of our records, just took one glance at him and put him on scary antidepressant meds.... we could've gone to urgent care for that and saved thou$ands… and of course it did not help one bit Its a very expensive place and they sell supplements and all the stuff they prescribe which is a huge red flag. RecommendedThe people are very professional, couteous, and friendly. The facilities are top-notch. They really know what they are talking about especially concerning nutrition. They have more knowledge about nutrition than regular doctors. Glad I did it. Looking forward to a better brain.
