I have been with her for years. She is amazing. She LISTENS. She has real conversations with me about health issues and concerns. I get refills quickly. She is kind and does not rush my appointment. I love her and will go to her as long as she is practicing.
I have been going to Dr Fairfax for over 5 years and she is efficient, knowledgeable and is thorough when trying to find the cause of my symptoms such as shortness of breath. She does not order unnecessary tests or give scripts just to "pacify" patients which many doctors do which is over-ordering. She called me personally to tell me my mammogram was suspicious and to expect a call to retest. THAT is personal service.
"Nurses" and Fairfix will not treat EVEN IF YOU'RE in NEED OF URGENT CARE!! MY O2 level was 90!!! When my vitals were checked at the doctor (PCP) The nurse didn’t acknowledge it. DOCTORS OFFICE JUST LEFT ME TO LEAVE WITH AN O2 of 90!!!! And samples of ZYETRC!!! I am aware oo2 levels as I have previously had respiratory failure!!! *** I went back and asked the nurse to RE CHECK my vitals and again it was very low, 90/91!! We have been patients of Dr. Fairfax for over 10 years now. She is patient and answers every question and addresses every concern. We are in our mid 60's, with multiple health problems. She never ever treats us like we're just "Old People". She calls personally when a test result isn't what it should be, and explains exactly what the test results mean. My wife and I have been patients of Dr Fairfax for almost 4 years now. She is by far the best doctor I have EVER seen. She is very thorough with her examination, insuring the best diagnosis. She isn't the type of doctor that acts like she knows everything. If I need a referral she sends me to places that she trust and can stand behind. While being professional, she is very at the same time. Dr. Fairfax is a wonderful physician. She has helped me a lot with my anxiety issues. She takes the time with her patients. I always have been able to make appts quickly and never had to wait long in the office to see her. Highly recommend.
If you are a self-pay, don't waste your time. She is judgmental (not in a good way) and if she takes a dislike to you because of your financial status-and she will-you will get nothing. It doesn't matter if you have been taking a medication for 15 years. She won't give it to you. But she will be happy to charge you in excess for wasting your time. You are nothing but a bank deposit to her. Look somewhere else. Your well-being is of no importance to her.
Even though this doctor is in network with my health insurance which was confirmed with my health Insurance company as well the office staff I was told upon my Arrival after a 45 minute drive that they will not accept my insurance . It was for my two children aged 7 and 10 . I was told by the office manger I can pay out of pocket but that’s it . How can’t they do this when they are in Network! Inadequate Information (i.e. poor quantity of information) Doctors were expected to provide detailed explanations to their patients regarding their investigation results and management plans. “Very upset and disappointed with your doctor … didn’t explain the results in detail. Only sent bill “upset with the lack of updates”, doctor “did not explain any thing in her medical reports.Poor quality of information provided and wrong.
