The staff and amenities were fantastic but there were so many problems with Ame I have to leave a mixed review, unfortunately. While better than some other apartments I've lived in, it still had its problems. The appliances just didn't cut it, not even close. My oven could only be set to 50-degree (yes, 50, not 25) increments, so cooking anything at e.g. 425 degrees was impossible. I’ve lived here for years and there are many reasons to rate the building so highly (the VIEW, the location, the neighbors) but the main reason is the staff. They truly make this building unique. Ambi, Aisha, Justice and Jackie always brings a smile to my face and are so helpful and easy to talk to. They say hi to all the buildings dogs (there are many) and are definitely the highlight of their walks. I’ve never been to a building with such personable ! Beautiful historic building with incredible views and so much natural light. Everyone who works here is genuinely kind and friendly. Ambi at the concierge desk takes the time to get to know residents, which makes it feel like home.
I took a tour of Ame at Meridian Hill and was very impressed with Milton and Laura. They were very gracious, showed me several apartments, and answered all my questions. The team is very responsive and easy to get ahold of. For that, five stars. Thanks!
