From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease and I was reassured that I would be in good hands. From the receptionist, to Anne the CNA, Hanka one of the nurses and Lauren who was my nurse. The nurse anesthetist and the anesthesiologist all came in to consult me as well. Just about everyone who was involved in my surgery came in and introduced themselves and explained their role in taking care of me. Dr, nurses and staff were so kind and patient
Went here 2 days in a row - and what a wonderful experience I had considering the circumstances. Everyone was kind, professional, and made me feel welcomed. A special shout out to nurse Laura Paider who really excels at what she does! Stony Brook hospital is very fortunate to have these wonderful people around to help us. Thank you.
Once my son was in pre op the complete lack of communication was astounding . We sat for hours past his appointment time . I realize some people require a little more than first anticipated and understand completely that sometimes the Dr needs more time with a patient , but to allow you to sit with zero updates is ridiculous. It doesn't take much to apprise a waiting patient that a delay has occurred and give a new window of when your procedure will actually take place .
