Went here 2 days in a row - and what a wonderful experience I had considering the circumstances. Everyone was kind, professional, and made me feel welcomed. A special shout out to nurse Laura Paider who really excels at what she does! Stony Brook hospital is very fortunate to have these wonderful people around to help us. Thank you.
Once my son was in pre op the complete lack of communication was astounding . We sat for hours past his appointment time . I realize some people require a little more than first anticipated and understand completely that sometimes the Dr needs more time with a patient , but to allow you to sit with zero updates is ridiculous. It doesn't take much to apprise a waiting patient that a delay has occurred and give a new window of when your procedure will actually take place . Had an excellent and comfortable experience here. Everyone was so nice and friendly!! All my surgery nerves went away after speaking to all the kind staff! Each and every person involved in my surgery came and introduced themselves to me and explained their role which put my anxiety at ease. Definitely a positive experience and environment :) thank you!!
Had such a positive experience here. They turned a scary not positive experience into something light and doable. They were all very sweet and friendly and I feel lucky to have gone there.
