Love Dr. Ambrose. I have been going to him since I was around 12 years old. I am now 45 years old. I leave in Coarsegold, but I will travel to him with all my animals.
Dr Ambrose saved my dog..when we first brought him there his lugs were filling up with blood and he was cough to the point of falling over..Doc was able to put him on meds and he has done a 180..thank you doc!!
Terrible service. I was told treatment for my cat would be a minimum of $100 before he was ever seen. I got the feeling they wanted to "scare me off" by throwing this out there. Other comments like "you'll be waiting 2 hours even with an appointment" made me feel like my business was not wanted. I'm not sure where this was coming from. I called Dr. Ambrose because I remember he had a gentle nature and my cat is skittish with strangers. Really disappointing, made me wonder if this was racial bias. Unfortunately, I left Madera 10 years ago and had to leave Dr. Frank Ambrose behind. When he was considering buying the practice back in the early 1980's, I took my cat KC to him, one of his first patients. For the next 20 years all of my animals went to see him. He was gentle and our pets were always the first priority. He was remarkable, able to diagnose and give us the prognosis even when it was painful. Best vet around. We drive over 30 minutes to see dr Ambrose. He is the best. Always affordable and he honestly loves my dogs!!! Great guy! Great vet! He is an extension of our family and has been taking care of our dogs for well over 10 years!!
