High Quality food, bargain price – This place is a bargain for the QUALITY and quantity of food you get. They had all the special sauces from Churrascos to go with the (unlimited) salad and plantain chip bar. We didn't have a go at the desserts, but the Tres Leches for $4, funnel cakes and S'mores (flame included) looked fantastic. The atmosphere here was perfect. cheap eat! – the food is not spectacular, but it is good for the price. where else can you get a decent grilled salmon for $11? i do think it's better for lunch than dinner.
Great Meal – Great food for fast service. Met my girlfriend for lunch and got there in 10 minutes. Had our food in about 3 minutes and sat there for a while and had a nice talk before we had to leave to be back at work. The Talapia is wonderful.
South American Cheap Eatz – The cairpirinha could have been better but the bartender was not hesistant to fix it to my liking. The Peru dish was heaven-sent. All in all the patio dining was great and the noise level was decent. The crowd varied from young trendy scene to a relatively old crowd. The tres leches was great too. Great food for a cheap price. The variety of South American salsa at the salad bar was enticing as well. Nice decor too
Great Find! – Great food, good value, fun atmosphere. The meals come with all you can eat plantain chips (which my child loved) and salad with AWESOME unique salad dressings. The cost of the meal includes tax and tip, so it's not as pricey as may initialy appear. The salmon was some of the best I've had here. The side dishes are also scrumptious.
A local treasure – Even better in their new Kirby location than they were on South Post Oak, though parking can now be a bit of a challenge. Consistenty great food, beautifully presented, and in a great "quick food" format. A good compromise for those dining with kids who prefer a nice decor and a cool adult beverage to fiberglass clowns and watery soft drinks! The tabletop Smores are a novelty and fun, but don't judge the value of Amazon by them. The serious dishes are worth repeating time and time again.
AMAZON GRILL ROCKS – as soon as you walk in the front door, you know there is something quite interesting about the amazon grill. the menu has variety of dishes...and all of them have a "flare". almost everything is low-fat and full of flavor. the salad with the mango, yogurt and cilantro, and garlic dressings are to die for! the sweet, fried banana chips compliments well with the spicy salsa. the atomsphere is great for casual dates or going out with your friends. :)
Pleasant – Stopped here Sat night for dinner and was really pleased with everything. This place is from the owners of Churrascos, and the food was great. It is a limited menu of interesting dishes in a self serve type atmosphere. Best thing about it was it was very affordable. All the main dishes cost $10, and that includes salad. Calling all families – I had heard that this is THE place for West U families, so we tried it. What a great find! Our kids loved it - who would blame them? There are two items, each $5, for kids: popcorn chicken and pizza. Kids also get cotton candy. A great dessert for the whole family (only $6) is the D-I-Y S'mores (roast those marshmallows at the table). The entrees for the adults are just $8-10, and what we tried was very good.
