I was looking for a new mechanical workshop. I did some review hunting and this mechanical workshop had great reviews, also a neighbours recommendation. So I contacted this mechanical workshop via email twice (a week in-between each) with some questions I had. I'm still waiting for a response and this is over a fortnight now, hence my low star rating and I won't be recommending this mechanical work.
I took my car in for what was supposed to be a simple service and oil change at amato automotive last week, and it was an absolute nightmare. I dropped it off on Monday morning with the promise it would be ready by the end of the day. They didn't even start working on it until the next afternoon. When I finally got it back two days later, the bill was nearly double what they quoted me over the phone -over 800$ for basic service! They claimed they found "additional issues" like brake pads that "needed immediate replacement," ... read more
Could not possibly recommend more. Adrian was very open, transparent, and friendly with me, taking me through the problems with my car in fantastic detail while somehow not getting too technical that it went over my head. He fixed multiple issues with my Subaru that had been left by my previous mechanic - issues that I did not even notice, but VERY MUCH DO now that they are fixed. So glad to have stumbled across Amato! Adrian does a great job every time and always says things in layman's terms for those of us without much car knowledge! 🤣 I keep expecting to be shocked by the price but its always been really reasonably priced. He also let's me know well in advance things my car will need done in the future. Fantastic, friendly company. Highly recommend.
