Beef Bolognese was outstanding. Very basic but perfected. The tortellini mushroom cream was fantastic. And the cheesecake mousse for dessert was so perfect to end the night.
This is the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. Everyone we take to Amalfi's quickly raises it to their favorite too. That means when there's lots of out of town company, the request is always "Can we go to Amalfi's?" and we're sometimes there 3 days in a week. The food is consistently excellent, the staff unfailingly welcoming and the family is just the nicest group of folks you could ever hope to meet.

I have been coming to Amalfis since it opened in 1972. This was our 1st disappointing meal. The veal was dry, fra Diablo sauce was tomato sauce with dry crushed red pepper sprinkled on top. Pasta was half cooked way less than al dente. My wife's lasagne was mushy under the top layer that was hard as if it hadn't been cooked and seemed like it was frozen, microwaved and Put in the oven. Calamari and bread was delicious.
Everyone working there is very nice and courteous. Service is good. Food is good. Freshly made fettuccini pasta is very good.
A family tradition for decades! <3 Amalfi's has a special place in my heart!
