The inpatient psych facility at altru is horrible ,no mental health support in a mental hospital is crazyyy!!! the psychiatrist is extremely ignorant and disrespectful. Altru is so focused on “ updating”its psych facility yet do not improve there staff ,Doctors, and quality of care. The ER staff/doctors/nurses however are amazing in psych situations. Do NOT apply here if you are a traveler. The normal staff WILL force you out very quickly and will not listen to reason. Will nit pick and terminate for seeming anything they want too. No compassion, no remorse, no warnings, no coaching, just get tossed out on the curb.
Dr Dauksavage has been one of the most helpful psychiatrists I have had the pleasure of working through. My fiance passed away last year and I was at a loss, and my major depressive disorder and anxiety were off the charts. Her professionalism is on point and the way she treats me as a patient, and makes me feel like someone cares about my mental health is more than I could hope for in a doctor. Highly recommend 💯
