After living here for several years, the prices have steadily gone up by $50-100/month per year while the service and quality of apartments and staff have plummeted. The current management and employees are rude and not personable and it can take weeks of constant inquiries to get important maintenance work done. This place is a dump. You can't get them to fix anything. The people upstairs from me had a dog that urinated on the balcony several times. I told the mgr. and they just said they were sorry but did nothing. I always paid my rent early, and left a forwarding address for my last water bill. They sent it to the wrong address, but I still got it and they turned me into collections before the bill was even due. Due on the 1st but turned into collections 5 days after I moved out. I have lived at Jackson square for almost two years now. Initially the management was terrible. But about six months into my first lease management definitely changed for the better. However this past weekend, both my neighbor's truck and my vehicle were broken into, vandalized, and tires were stolen. I moved to Brookmill in March of 2013. I knew this probably wasn't going to be a good experience the day of my walk through before I moved in. First things first: the apartment had a very poor paint job, there was paint on the floor in the kitchen which I had brought to attention; management's reply was there was no way to remove it. These apartments are well built with high ceilings, serious decorative molding and accent painting, and the grounds are pretty and well-maintained. Thus the two stars. Everything else was horrible. We found ourselves infested with bedbugs shortly after moving in. The management said "how do we know you didn't bring them with you?" Talk about adding insult to injury!
