RecommendedWe had the most amazing experience with Alma. All of the midwives were so caring and made each appointment feel special. They never made us feel rushed, and you can tell they really care about their clients. My birth was exactly what I wanted, and the team of midwives that were there did a great job at making me feel comfortable. I knew from a young age that hospital births were not for me (unless it was medically necessary). We toured the sweet and homey birthing house and fell in love. The midwives were supportive through all of my questions and concerns and very knowledgeable. This was my first pregnancy and I felt so at ease about everything. First time mom here! I transferred into care at Alma late in my pregnancy (about 35 weeks). I didn't have very long to get to know them but we all made quick work of it... at Alma, you are a part of a family / community and at 35 weeks I didn't have time to bashful. I had the lucky timing of arranging a home birth right before covid-19 made hospitals lose their minds, insisting that only 1 person attend a labor/delivery. I was initially very excited about Alma. I called one day to ask about the details of my first appointment and how it would change due to the new Covid-19 outbreak. I spoke with Laura (who I believe is a midwife and the owner of Alma). She asked what my baby’s name was. We had an amazing experience from start to finish with our Alma midwives, and loved the birth center experience. It was comforting and we felt empowered and informed the whole time.
I had an amazing experience! All my midwives were so great, and the care was phenomenal � I would go back in a heartbeat if I do have another baby!
