The food is exceptional. However, our service on this Thursday night left a lot to be desired. I see other reviews talk about attentive staff…last night's shift was not. It seemed like our waiter was specifically ignoring our table at every opportunity. When an appetizer was brought to our table of six, only three corn tortillas were brought, and our waiter seemed genuinely affronted by our requests for more. Christina took great care of our party (22 of us). Not knowing much about some of the ingredients in a few of the dishes, she answered my questions patiently and helped me choose a dish (green chorizo tacos). Really enjoyed it. Will try to visit again.

My wife, my sister, my niece and I walked in at 6pm. The hostess asks the people ahead of us if they have a reservation, they said no and were seated immediately. When she came back she said, do you have a reservation? I said no, I'm sorry we do not. She said...So if you dont have a reservation there will be a 2 hour wait. The place was completely empty! Service goes a long way and apparently this place has none!

Based on a recommendation from a local, I made a reservation at Alma Cucina. We were seated promptly upon arrival. We had a server immediately at our table who explained specials, the menu, and the drinks. Our table ordered almost ALL of the specials and multiple drinks, and we were glad that we did. We stayed at the Hampton Inn which was about a block away from this restaurant. We were dressed casually and were worried we would be out of place when we entered because it looked like a high end restaurant inside. We started with the salsa sampler along with a margarita and the sangria. All were just perfect! My party was in love with the butternut squash guacamole (spicy) and the fig guacamole (sweet).
