My sons started their allergy shots approx 2 months ago. To begin with, making appts were super easy. Something has drastically changed. I used to be able to call and get them in within 3 days from their last appt with zero issues (2 shots per wk). Now, the office always claim they don't have anything available for at least 10- 14 days out, if you're lucky. This was my first visit to an allergist. I was not satisfied with my visit. I could not be evaluated because I had taken over the counter allergy relief medication. I was given OTC nasal spray and advised to double the normal dose and return in a week. It was basically a wasted visit and charge to my medical insurance. Somewhere they should advise patients in advance not to take oral allergy meds for a week before the appointment.
