The heating system was not working until November 30 (12 degrees outside, no central heating, very cold inside). The Allen House “model” unit and website are not representative of my apartment, which is filthy and worn (manager agreed but didn’t remedy). The toilet was dirty and had not even been flushed! When flushed, it broke and spewed water, flooded the bathroom, and soaked the living room carpet. Toilet water drained through a large gap in the dirty bathroom floor. The worst place to stay. The new management Randall Park Management is even worse than the last one. Extremely rude and un-professional. I want to further reduce the rating from 1 star. I recently realized that the new management removed the guest parking available in the building which was previously available under the old management. Beware of this place.
I was fortunate enough to never live here for a long period of time, but I stayed with my partner for a summer and many weekends. The new management somehow turned this place into a nightmare. The pros: there is a pool and they updated the elevator (but didn’t want to pay extra to have the buttons light up or have the button presses activate before the door shuts). Why Google Maps doesn’t have zero or negative star options, PLEASE Escape from this apartment, the worst apartment experience in Madison in five years.
