I would never recommend AHN Hospice to any one!! They were awful. After the initial placement and everything was explained, AHN sounded like a good choice for my mom. But it need being nothing like what was explained. There was no compassion or support for my mom and our family. Nurses didn’t want to come to the house, just wanted a face time call or they never called back at all. Care is sub par. Half the time I don’t think they are even talking about my mother. They have done NOTHING for her

If I could give this place a negative score of -10 I would. They don't f/u when you first sign on and explain things to elderly people who have never had experience dealing with hospice. They don't care about your loved ones comfort. I've watched my dear friend scream out in pain, unable to swallow the pain meds and I'm told that's all we can do. The nurse has zero compassion and is barely there for an hour. Folks, I wouldn't send my enemy to this place. Inhumane. Absolutely inhumane.

All I'm going to say is just don't do it. You'll regret it. Absolutely horrible people. They will not return phone calls. They will not give you any information that's correct. Make sure you know your family members insurance coverage because once hospice gets involved you're going to be paying out the wazoo at the end. I'm also going to add that the hospice physician put the incorrect cause of death on my mom's death certificate and had to edit her death certificate.
