I had to see Dr. Alicea when one of the other partners in this practice refused to see me because the original work was done by another physician!? I also heard that same Doc is very particular about the types of patients he will see! In my world of professional airline pilots, we refer to this type of pilot, as someone who lacks confidence, aka a weak pilot, a liability. The doctor was great but the staff gave me bad referral information. Billing was incorrect. Cost me a lot money which I am still trying to correct. Had to research referral to get correct information.
My visit to Dr. Luis F. Alicea was a great experience, thanks to Dr. Alicea and his assistants, Ivonne and Rocio. They are known for their professionalism and commitment to providing excellent patient care. Ivonne and Rocio work closely with Dr. Alicea to ensure the highest quality of care and a positive experience during my visit. Also, I have to add the great hands Dr. Alicea has. even though I was in pain due to an infection.
My husband went for an extraction. We chose Dr Alicea ONLY because his primary dentist highly recommended him but I wish we would have gone to another office! Dr Alicea has poor bedside manners and rushed out after the procedure. My husband experienced a lot of bleeding when we got home and being that he is diabetic it was a big concern. I went to this practice because I had seen Dr Antonos a few years ago, and I was extremely pleased with both his skills and his care. I was sitting down answering the assistant's questions when this guy comes in, tells me to open my mouth and proceeds to stick his fingers under my tongue! I had to stop and ask him 'are you the doctor??' 'Yes; open your mouth'. That was the extent of the introduction. I actually live in St. Louis and we are visiting Orlando for the next two months. Unfortunately on our second day here one of my back teeth lost a large filling and then cracked in half. I scrambled to try and find an oral surgeon to take care of this and I was fortunate to find Dr. Alicea. Dr Luis has a far superior expertise in his field than others, and he adds compassion to it. I had an infected wisdom tooth that spread the infection to 2 surrounded teeth that also had to be extracted. The surgery went very smooth, and I had an exceptional recovery with no pain and no swelling, it is like miracle. Moreover, Dr. Alicea personally called me the evening prior to the surgery and the day after the surgery as well. His expertise mixed with a high level of kindness is unsurpassable!
Luis didn’t read my referral notes . Took his own lead . Didn’t listen to the patient . What a disservice ..showed no concern or interest in my problem . He needs better social skills and professionalism .
I had the long process of having an implant removed and redone correctly. It’s been years and no problems whatsoever. I will need to go back soon to get two implants on the other side. So many doctors told me that it could not be done and everything turned out perfectly.
