Really disappointed this year. Used to come to this restaurant a lot over the years. The views are amazing as usual. However the quality of the food has declined horribly and The prices are way to high. Don't think I'll be returning here again!!!
In the past we have had tasty lunches at the Algonquin but unfortunately our recent dinner was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! My husband had ordered the Seafood Scampi and the pasta was over done. The Broiled Asiago Sea Scallops I had decided upon were drowning in a puddle of cream, with only 4 scallops. With each entree priced at over $30.00 you would think we'd have cloth napkins, but had to make do with paper ones that literally disintegrated after use. We have eaten here a few times, always pulling in on our boat. The food and staff are amazing and portions are just right. The outside seating is the best, but if you want A/C or it's crumby weather, inside is nice too and you can still see the water! The only small issue we have is the boat parking is a little unorganized and there isn't a lot of it.
Stopped in for lunch today for my birthday. Hostess was very inviting and friendly. Asked for the Bloody Mary extra spicy and it was delicious and spicy just how I like it! I had the lobster roll and my boyfriend had the pantera flatbread pizza, both were excellent. We especially loved the French fries!! Bruce was our waiter and he was great!! Amazing view, great food and drinks, great service and great vibes. Will definitely return! Thank you!
We LOVE The Algonquin! Been coming here for years with our three little ones.....The staff is always friendly and accommodating, the food is beyond delicious and the view is breathtaking! And, of course, we all LOVE Kim! Thank you for always making us feel welcome! xoxo ~Tanya
Our appetizers and entrees were all good although the Brie plate most disappointing because their crostinis were stale. The place was very busy so the server was rushed. Most most understandable for this time of the year. The only reason I bring it up is because I had no idea there were evening specials until I heard them recited to the table next to us while we were halfway through our meal.
We came from Rochester NY. Listened t a friend play. Food was good but seemed like we were beimg hurried. It's like the waitress couldn't wait for us to leave. We were there for 2 1/2 hours drinking and eating. We asked the waitress how mhowmuc the drinks were . she said she "didn't know". We knew why later when we got the bill. A bit high priced
We had a fantastic dinner on 7/2/17. Food was fresh and delicious, the view can't be beat and the staff was lovely. Great date night for my husband and I.
