Dr Alfandre is always on time, prepared and efficient.
I can’t understand the negative reviews for Dr. Alfandre. I had shoulder pain and he sent me for an MRI. He confirmed I had a rotator cuff tear. He scheduled me for surgery. I am having it in a couple of months due to my busy schedule. He was kind, pleasant and very knowledgeable. Took his time with me explaining everything. Can’t wait for the surgery!
Doctor was clearly in a hurry. Asked questions and talked over me when I tried to answer. Didn't pay attention to anything I said. Waste of time seeing him.
I had one office visit with Dr. Alfandre and it will be my last. He was arrogant, perfunctory, and showed no empathy whatsoever. The appointment was rushed and I was left feeling dismissed and disrespected. I will be seeing a different surgeon. Not recommended.
First visit - listened-gave my a cortisone shot and scheduled an MRI. Second visit - nothing went well. Third visit - macho attitude and I was told call me if you have any questions. Tried to schedule a fourth visit - no response.
My daughter had a high ankle sprain, we had to see Dr. Alfandre b/c the original doctor was on vacation. What a horrible experience, Dr. Alfandre was so rude saying my daughters injury was ridiculous and she needs to be out of the boot and should be healed. He treated us like garbage. I will NEVER see him again and encourage ALL to see someone else. He is a horrible human being.
I was first seen in the Emergency Department of OrthoNY for shoulder pain due to a sporting injury and had a follow up with Dr. Alfandre. He did a few physical tests and indicated that it was arthritis and gave me a shot of cortisone. I tried to explain that this was not ongoing pain. He insisted it was arthritis would not order an MRI indicating "Your insurance is difficult and I don't want to deal with them." Total confidence in Dr. Alfandre's ability, judgement, intelligence and integrity. He's kindly and successfully helped me through various injuries since I first went to him for a second opinion 11 yrs ago when I'd been told by a different practice that I would need complicated surgery. Dr Alfandre carefully diagnosed my condition, replaced a faulty cast, and gave me his excellent plan for self-care along with his opinion that the break could heal without surgery. With regular checkups it healed.
I would never return to Dr. Alfandre and actively discourage others from seeing him as well. #metoo
