I went to AAC yesterday with my chameleon, Charlie. I knew he was sick and would probably need to be euthanized. Not only was everyone friendly and helpful, but they truly did everything they could before presenting me with the choice. They gave him fluids, put him on oxygen and gave him a warm water soak. However, he was far too ill. I appreciate the attention and compassion they showed to my family and to Charlie. They helped me make the best decision for him.
I have been using this clinic since I moved to Louisiana. They are the very BEST! Drs. Mathern and Ducote are wonderful diagnosticians and treat my animals with extreme care and compassion! They give me the facts, yet are so loving and gentle when tests results aren't good. I depend on them and they have never let me down. The staff is comprised of some terrific people as well, knowledgeable, friendly and polite. I have recommended Alexandria Animal Clinic for years to all my friends.
We recently moved here and had an emergency with one of our dogs. My mom called this clinic as it's where she takes her animals, they were more than happy to see us. The next day I had to rushed our pup back there and arrived right at lunch time...everybody was wonderful except for one lady who had an attitude issue, however I can overlook that as everybody else in the clinic was so helpful and caring, I Will just remember to avoid that lady from now on. Love this place they have been great!
I had taken my Pitbull in and found out he was very anemic and they tried everything and we had to put him down not even a week ago and I got a card with his paw print and a hand written note from his vet. Highly recommended and will be taking my Curr dog when I recoop some money
Wanted to thank Dr. Matherne for the wonderful care and advice regarding my sweet boy Baxter. She has treated all my dogs for roughly 10 years or so and is fantastic.
I waited an hour and 20 minutes before my pet was seen when I had an appointment that was scheduled a month in advance. I was told that if I didn't want to wait as long then I should have scheduled my appointment during the week. I recently moved to the area and I had a friend recommend this place. This was my first time visiting and I will not be back.
