Five years ago, Dr. Taghva saved my life by performing an intensive 8 hour surgery to stabilize my spine after multiple myeloma had eaten away my T9 vertebrae. I am forever grateful to him! Such a great doctor/surgeon. He is so amazing, smart, friendly, and very easy to talk to. Thanks you, Dr. T!!

Dr. Taghva is a calm and very well educated neurosurgeon. He helped me tremendously! I had a 90% L1 compression fracture. He performed a Kyphoplasty surgery on me in a beautiful out patient facility in Newport Beach at the end of February 2019. Gabrielle and the office staff are wonderful. Vanessa, the nurse practitioner is very kind and caring.

Superman!! My experience with Dr. Taghva, a lumbar laminotomy, and his staff could not have been better. After waking up from the surgery, I couldn’t believe the surgery was performed. I had “ZERO” pain or even the slightest bit of discomfort. I have not taken any pain pills in the almost 4 weeks since surgery. I have been taking 2-3 mile walks since the 3rd-4th day after surgery with no discomfort. His front office people, his office assistant, Gabrielle, and nurse practitioner, Vanessa could not have been any better. I am ... read more

Dr. Taghva is awesome. I had a C2-C6 discectomy 6 months ago and the pain, numbness in my right hand mostly gone. The scar on my neck is a good 3" wide but Dr T did such an awesome job it's not noticeable. Dr. Taghva is straightforward and will give you his honest opinion. I saw him 4 yrs ago and he didn't suggest surgery, but as my symptoms changed so did his assessment. Dr & his staff are awesome. Dr. Taghva is the ONLY neurosurgeon I recommend. (I've seen a lot!)

After suffering with sciatic leg pan for 4 years, and having two surgeries with another neurosurgeon that did not stop the pain, I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Taghva. He fixed my very messy back, and now I have very little leg pain, and still a ways to go to feel better. He is an incredible neurosurgeon, very kind and caring, and I am SO happy to be almost pain-free from the sciatic pain in my legs.

I saw Dr Taghva at the end of a three year search, in which I had numerous consultations with neurosurgeons and other specialists in an attempt to find a solution to incapacitating back pain due to a disc injury in the thoracic region (T8-9). A previous surgery had been performed in which no relief was obtained. The care given by Dr Taghva was life altering as I am now pain free, off opioids, and have resumed a normal life. I can not recommend him highly enough. He’s the guy you want.

Dr. Taghva performed a very complex 11 hour lower lumbar surgery on me 5 months ago. So far I am ver pleased with the results. Other neurosurgeons I saw were afraid to treat me. Dr. Taghva impressed me with his straightforward approach and professionalism. His manner is confident, but not conceited. I would give him my highest recommendation. (I had 2 previous back surgeries with a different surgeon.)

I haven't had my surgery yet but I feel so confident now that I met with him. He answered all my questions and put me at ease. I would recommend him to anyone.
