I had visited Tucson Endocrine Associates after making an appointment with Dr. Zwart. I would not recommend him nor T.E.A. He comes off as a very caring doctor, but do not be fooled. He and his team will not respond to your e-mails. Also T.E.A has a very horrible payment system. No matter how many payments you have done to his facility, the current statement will always read the full payment owed. Even after you have already payed for their services.
My experience with Dr. Zwart was a pleasant one, too bad he doesn't follow through with prescriptions. He is very friendly, attentive, but I wouldn't recommend him or Tucson Endocrine Associates. As I stated, their payment system is horrible. No matter how much you pay them, the payment statement will always read the current payment. It never goes down... I would stay away from him and this facility. To be honest, he doesn't even deserve one star!
Dr. Zwart was thoughtful, considerate, actually (unlike some) reviewed the information I had provided and listened to my "concerns."

I dont know what kind of doctor Dr Zwartz is. I scheduled an appt. With him over a month ago. When I got there I was told I was scheduled to see the Np and i would love him. Not the case, he doesnt listen and talks so fast you can't talk. I called to cancel my next appt with him and insisted to see Dr Zwartz, i was told that the doc said for me to keep my appt with the NP and he would see me afterwards. There is one problem, he does not come into that office on Tues. I cancelled all appts
(I do miss his NP, Beth. But...) Dr. Zwart is very kind, patient, and thorough in explanation. He's also extremely well-researched.
I've been a patient of Dr. Zwart for over 20 years and highly recommend him and his office staff. Dr. Zwart is kind and thoughtful, listens to what I say, is very encouraging, and patiently and completely answers all my questions. He has provided reliable advice and stays informed in the most current diabetes treatment. His staff has been excellent in friendly customer service. Dr. Zwart keeps his appointments and doesn't keep me waiting. Healthcare professionals say he's an endocrine expert.
Dr. Zwart is excellent. Staff member Deena was unfriendly. Deena tried to collect a $45 balance she claimed I owed from over 6 years ago. I asked Deena for a printout of that bill. She could not produce it and became hostile. She told me to contact Maricela in billing at Old Pueblo Practice Management. Maricela confirmed I owed nothing and told me to ignore the balance. Deena refused to provide me with a copay specific receipt for my visit making it look like I was making payment on the balance.
Dr. Zwart is the kind of doctor that the nurses recommend, as he is knowledgeable in his field as well as caring and compassionate in the services he provides. He is never to busy to give his patients and those who care for his patients the time required to give the best evidence based practice. I highly recommend Dr. Zwart.
