Dr Alex Nelson is an exemplary Doctor. I have been seeing him for about a year now. When I initally went in to see him I was going into respiratory distress because of all the narcotics I was currently taking. He developed a plan for me to get off all of my narcotics to allow for the surgical implant of a pain pump. I have never done anything so hard! I up graded to 4 stars on Jan 14 2025. Still upset, but now I come to know it wasn’t all Dr. Nelson fault things were done that Dr.Nelson didn’t know about. Please disregard original message below. If you see this Doctor make sure that you review your billing statements. I have had major problems with billing to the point that I will no longer use Dr Nelson as a pain doctor. Thank you Dr Nelson and PA Desiree and all team members for the last 2 years helping me get better.
Dr. Nelson has always worked with my husband and me in providing us both excellent care. Although insurance approvals slow things down at times, and can be frustrating, I can usually always get in quickly and efficiently once the insurance is accepted. I believe insurance is most of the reason frustrations can develop while trying to expedite our pain management. Dr. Nelson and Desiree are my absolute favorite providers. They’re both so caring and have been amazing with my treatments/ care. They take their time especially on the days that I am in more pain than usual when I am having any of my injections. I refuse to see anyone else even if that means I pay a bit more for my copay. Bree is one of my favorite MAs as well, my last visit I was extremely exhausted and she brightened my day.
