A mix of good and bad for the night – I went to eat on a week night for my Fathers 60th birthday. The waitress was very pushy. To the point of becoming anoying. Sorry if some of our party was stuck in traffic getting to the resturant. Then my neice got sick (mind you she is 12 months) and threw up all over my Sister. The bussers were great at helping us get it all cleaned up. But they did nothing to difuse the smell. Nor did they get out a mop to wipe the floor down. I love Aldo's – Aldo's is an extremely authentic italian restaurant. Even the waiters are from Italy. The food is great and I've never had a problem with the service there at either lunch or dinner. Aldo brought my husband and I a complimentary limencello for no apparent reason one time! Now, that's service. The ambience is truly "bella italia", very nice. I would definitely recommend Aldo's to anyone wanting a great authentic italian restaurant for lunch or dinner.
Avoid this place – My friend and I were seated right in front of the cart with the extra dishes, water pitchers etc. I was bumped just about everytime the waitresses needed to get a dish or whatever. I didn't enjoy the food because I was busy trying not to be bumped or having something dropped on me or spilled on me. Would never go back
Simply Amazing... – I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Aldo's, and it was an amazing experience. I had made reservations for a very large party of 35, and when we arrived, there was a large table set up for us. We were greeted by the hostess, our server, and Aldo himself. Great Customer Service and awesome limoncello – My family and friends dine here constantly. The staff is always friendly and helpful, they treat you like one of the family. For all the times we have been here, none of us have ever had a bad meal. Try to lobster ravioli, veal stuffed with mozzeralla and if it is on special - the salmon in brandy sauce. Oh yeah, the limoncello is the best around. It is homemade and delicous, but careful, too many of these and you will regret it in the morning!
Better than Sex – This food is sensual, rich, and simply divine. Must try the Lobster Raviolis in a Champange Cream Sauce..... This food is so sinful, it's ridiculous. Setting is cozy, usually quiet, and intimate. Support local and authentic places like this!
The most important reason I keep coming back to Aldo's is that the food is really authentic. It is very difficult to find a place here, where Italian food tastes Italian and has not been americanized yet. Aldo's is the only one I know in the Bay Area and I have been to all others on this Top 10 list. You can make the test yourself by comparing the Melanzane among all of them. Best iin town – BEST IN TOWN!!!! Great food, wonderful service cozey dining. Run like s small Mom and Pop with personal service. Always our First choice
