One of the worst experiences at any place of business I have ever been. I was treated very rudely, and as if I did not matter to them. My waitress was cold and impersonal, and did not even read us the specials. When I had a problem later in the evening, I was not even allowed to speak to a manager, I have never been so disrespected! I would strongly recommend that no one bothers with this restaurant.
Great food and service I have been coming to Alba for quite some time now, and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal here; even the tapas menu they offer has been delicious! Whether I'm with my boyfriend, or my girlfriends, I have always been treated with respect by both the workers and the owner. They take the time to get to know you, and I am sorry to hear that so many people have had bad experiences there.
Absolutely worth it!!! I just want to let you know I found a restaurant that I will enjoy going back to.That has been a hard thing to actually say for restaurants on the south shore. On a busy Saturday night, we had the best service and it was worth the wait. The Tuna nachos are so different and delicious! Owner should be hung WOW Quite Honestly I don't even want to give this restaurant even one star but because of my wonderful waitress and the adorable hostess I will give it one. Alba...why the hype Over Priced and over Pretentious. Give me a break. I'll agree with all who stated the owner and bar staff are extremely rude. When you pay for a dinner out, you deserve to be treated with a certain level of respect. I went for dinner with my girl friend, we were well dressed and looked respectable, so i thought. A superb local restuarant My wife and I and our grown kids have been coming to Alba's for years. The food is always excellent and the owner Leo is always friendly and remembers all of us, even what the kids are now doing. Parking in the area is a cinch even if you don't use the free valet option. The staff is always friendly as well, especially those working the bar, and though at times it gets crowded we have never had in what may be over 75 visits since they opened a bad experience. Great experience I didn't speak to or meet the owner and I am almost concerned to go there tomorrow- however last time I went the food was AMAZING and fresh. The selection was great, the menu even better. The seafood was impressive. The service was fine- and the house pinot was JUST OK.
Going there tonight! And I have to admit....I'm a little, well nervous. The owner has my stomach in knots! I'll write a review tomorrow on my episode. So thats why I'm picking unsatisfactory now...Ill change it later.
. The owner of Alba is the rudest ***hole in New England. Seriously. The food is amazing but giving my hard-earned money to a foreign egotistical shithead would stop me from going there any day.
