RecommendedWhat a great place! We rented kayaks and canoes for our entire family for the Labor Day weekend. Even came with a trailer to haul it all! Wouldn’t have been the same at Byers Lake without them! I highly recommend these guys. Great couple!!

HIGHLY recommend these guys for any kayaking rentals! Great service, great gear, and they were so helpful with the gear, even loaning us extra straps and a ball hitch when ours didn’t fit! Will use again and again!
They’re really working hard to get people the gear they want while in this pandemic culture. Guidelines are very clear through their email communications, and the customer service was fast and courteous, which was impressive considering how many people they were helping. They answered all my questions, including ones I didn’t know to ask. These people are the best! Good availability, great prices, very flexible and understanding. Support this AK business, they provide an excellent service for out of towners to get all the gear they need for an adventure and they care about where you're going and how your trip was. We've used their shop about 10 times now with no complaints and plenty of happy guests with stories to tell on their way back home.

Renting outdoor gear was so easy and smooth with Alaska Outdoor Gear! The service was amazing and the quality of the gear perfect. At first, I was sceptic to rent some gear (renting sleeping bags, tents?). But the items that we were given were super clean and some of it, even brand new. So, a big thank you for the service! We will be back :)
