Dr. Christensen diagnosed me with Carpel Tunnel....I had carpel tunnel in both hands... I have to wonder who is leaving these positive reviews of Dr. Christensen. My experience with this man was Awful. He was very short with me and incredibly rude. I waited in a room for 1 hr and 20 minutes for him. He came into the room 1 hr after my appt. time. Didn't apologize for my wait but rather said he didn't have time to deal with me. When I tried to ask a few questions, he cut me off and told me I was too old to have anything done. Then, again cut me off and said he had places to be. Almost 29 years ago, in April 1990, at M.D.Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center, Andrews AFB, MD, I first met Dr. Alan W. Christensen. Then a Major in the USAF, he repaired my left hand after a firing pin malfunction on a 9mm handgun sent a round through it and into my 3rd metacarpal. I was flown from Loring AFB, Maine to Andrews AFB at that time because I was told that the United States Air Force's best hand surgeon performed surgery there. How true that was.

Dr. Christensen is a very caring physician. Never in a hurry. Fully explains your problem and gives you several alternatives for care. I have been using Orlando Orthopedic Center for close to 20 years. I would always recommend this group for any orthopedic problems.

Dr. Christensen performed tendon transfers on my daughters wrist and hand. Prior to this surgery, her wrist and fingers were so contracted and painful that the wrist could not be manipulated and the fingers could not be opened without tremendous force. After surgery, her wrist is flat and her fingers are open and straight. Her pain is substantially improved. This surgery was a major success. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Christensen. He is skilled beyond belief, kind and caring
