Dr. Blackburn is by far one if the best doctors I have interacted with. My particular situation was not an easy one nor is there a permanent solution. Had issue with my finger sticking in a 90 degree position and it hurt at times. Dr Blackburn was right on the reason why my finger was doing that type of reaction and said a shot in the area of trouble would fix it if not another shot might be needed. I agreed and had him do the shot. It seemed correct and he was very good with the shot.
I have nothing but glowing remarks to describe having Dr. Blackburn as my physician. From my 1st visit in Aug., to my operation to relieve my Carpel Tunnel in Dec., & through my post-op visit, I have been so impressed by my entire experience. Informative, highly intelligent, personable & always giving of his time to listen & answer my questions (and make me feel at ease). Dr. Blackburn was awesome. He tried no surgical treatments first. The surgery was successful. I was back to tennis 3 weeks sooner than anticipated (average). I have hardly any scar...looks like a plastic surgeon did the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. B!
On time; never rushed. Explained the problem, options for treatment from most conservative to surgery options and was able to provide treatment at my first appointment. This had been a thumb problem developing over a couple of years; finally, I have a name, treatment and options for the future.
