I have been a patient of Dr Blackburn for a few years now. He performed surgery on my hand & wrist. He very carefully explained the surgeries procedure & the post op recovery period .I am very pleased with the outcome. I have not hesitated to refer my friends and they have been happy with the care they have received,as am I
I was able to get an appointment very quickly. There was no wait time in the office once I checked in. Dr. Blackburn took the time to listen to my reason for being there and was very thorough in setting up a good plan of care. He linked my multiple health conditions with my current hand problem and we set up a follow up appointment.
I couldn’t have asked for a better physician and team to take care of my elbow injury. Dr Blackburn, besides being compassionate, informed me of my injury severity, expectations for surgical outcome, and followup care during occupational therapy. He offered information and listened to my concerns. I highly recommend Dr Blackburn, South Florida ORTHOPEADICS and the Rehab Team.
Dr Blackburn took the time to explain treatment options with associated risks and possible results. He carefully reviewed X-rays and explained his findings in a manner I could understand. I have been treated by 8 orthopedic docs over the years most with excellent results but two who were poor. One had another patient’s chart (same name) and almost operated on the wrong arm and another who misdiagnosed a rheumatology issue as rotator tear. Final visit with Dr Blackburn and his team after having wrist surgery. I can't say anything but great things about Dr Blackburn and his team and the facility itself. Everyone is so kind caring and professional.
Always a complete explanation of test results. Knowledgeable and patient friendly.
Dr Blackburn is wonderful and very understanding. He completely understood my hesitation of doing surgery on my 86 y/o momma with Alzheimer’s. He suggested a more conservative route and we both agreed it was the way to go!
