I could give him and his office a zero-star rating for lack of empathy. Someone I love spent hours filling out forms, then had a "virtual" first meeting where Dr. Berkowitz asked questions to fill out even more forms, then told my loved one he couldn't help and needed more studies SIX MONTHS IN THE FUTURE. Mind you this is someone who has been practicing psychiatry for over two decades, to tell someone with severe depression and anxiety they have to wait six months in the future and not help them at all was devastating. I made an appointment with Dr. Berkowitz on Oct 29th for November 22. As you can see the email went to spam. I received a follow-up to the 22nd telling me yesterday that my intake paperwork needed to be in with in 48 hours of appointment. I have had both hips replaced since the end of March and have been on pain meds since December. I wear a pretty serious back brace as well as a brace on my knee and neck.
