I have been going to Dr Chernick for five years and I feel grateful that I have a dentist so well informed, compassionate and knowledgeable. He gave me his cel phone and when I was in pain he took time out of his day to resolve my issue. I’m thrilled with this dentist and couldn’t recommend him more highly.
I worked for Dr. Chernick for more than 20 years. I found his dental work to be the highest quality as well as extremely professional with all his patients. He is viewed by all his colleagues with the highest regard.
One of the kindest medical professionals I've ever been to - with years of experience and knowledge who clearly takes so much pride in his work and his patients. If you are lucky enough to find this dentist you are in great hands. Plus he has won many awards -- by far the best dentist in Rockland county. And prices are so low compared to others I've been to.
I was very happy to find Dr. Chernick. He's a great dentist, really knows his stuff and is super nice and professional. Always feel so welcome when I go there. His prices are very reasonable and he works with my insurance so it's easier for me. His office is neat and clean and his staff is very competent and nice.
Overall a very good experience with Dr. Chernick. After switching dentists I was pleased with how he handled all my dental needs.

I would never recommend this office. Incompetent office staff, unprofessional and very inefficient. The office environment is messy and dirty. I wasted my time going to this office.

Very sorry you felt this way. We pride ourselves on patient care and treat all patients as though they are family. We strive to keep our office as clean and neat as possible at all times, even when we are very busy.
Dr. Chernick is a nice man, but he appears to be primarily motivated by money. We went to him for an expensive oral appliance for sleep apnea. He deliberately misled us into thinking the secondary insurance would cover part of the expense. The bookkeeper, Ellen, didn't submit the paperwork to Medicare for MANY months, even after dozens of phone calls. If you're paying him cash, fine. But if there's insurance involved, run away. Avoid this office. They won't do the paperwork. We're out $3000.

We do not have a patient by this name in our practice. However. I would never mislead a patient about anything, financial or otherwise. Medicare covers only one type of appliance and in this case the patient must have chosen a non covered appliance thus knowing Medicare would not pay for it in advance. The Medicare rules are very clear. If the insurance is private we do everything we can for the best possible reimbursement. Our only motivation is to help our patients sleep better, not money.
Came to Dr. Chernick for the first time and he has an excellent "bedside manner." He explains what needs to be done and will also show you the x-rays and and what is needed. He will accommodate you for an appointment and work with you concerning payment (and work with your dental insurance). After this experience, the rest of the family will be going to him.
