Dr. Gary Norsworthy and his staff are the best feline veterinarian care specialists in San Antonio! Proof comes from Dr. N's standing internationally as an authority in cutting-edge research in and treatment of feline health issues. Google his name and you will have all the proof you need of his knowledge and dedication to feline well-being. My two older cats had life threatening conditions for years until I took them to Alamo Feline. What a safe, calm and professional environment! They are now thriving and have many good ti... read more
We have been taking our four cats to Alamo Feline for eight years. I worked as a surgery tech in veterinary hospitals for 6 years so believe me when I tell you that you can do no better than Alamo Feline Heath Center. Dr. Norsworthy and his staff are friendly, competent and reasonably priced. Finding a cat only clinic with this level of customer service is a true gem. Beside doing the annual routine visits we have also had major surgery done on our cats at Alamo Feline and were very pleased with both the cost and the outcome... read more
Dr. Norsworthy rocks! I rescued 2 young kittens from drowning 10 years ago and took them to him for their first checkup, shots, etc. He immediately discovered that they (they are male littermates) both had inherited congenital heart disorders that follow the male chromosome and typically result in death from congestive heart failure within 4-5 years. He suggested a new, theoretical (HIS theory, I gather) treatment, and asked if my wife and I would be willing to try it. We did. You'll notice that I said I got these cats 10 ye... read more
Gary Norsworthy is a true professional who clearly screens his staff, technical, veterinary, and front office to ensure these people are as committed to the care and well bring of cats as he is. He has saved the lives of my cats too many times to mention, and he has been by my side when hard decisions have had to be made. If you have a cat and you want not only the best "technical vet" but one who truly cares, Dr. Norsworthy is your guy!
We take all of our cats to Alamo Feline Health. Dr Norsworthy and his staff are caring and extremely competent. We also board one of our cats there without any reservation, knowing that she will be loved and well cared for. All of our 6 cats are "cast offs," and deserve the very best in care and treatment. We were referred to Alamo Feline by other veterinarians who had run out of treatment options. To our surprise, we found that Alamo's charges were competitive, and we could have specialized procedures done there that were n... read more
I have used several other vets in San Antonio. From now on I only trust my cats to Dr Norsworthy and his staff.---Janet E
Dr(s) Norsworthy, Gassler, and Olson and their staff are the best! You can tell they truly love their job and that they are passionate about cats. They've got great bedside manner with not only cats but with their owners/humans too, and I'd recommend them anyday...anytime! We walked into our house from a long Holiday weekend to find our cat had diarrhea'd all over the house. We took him to AFHC first thing Monday, and we found out that he was diabetic. From that point on, we had pretty much weekly visits trying to regulate h... read more
Dr. Nordsworthy came highly recommended after our former vet cost me one of my precious babies. We lost one of our 4 children in 2009. Our old vet said he was just getting old and needed a new diet, change things up, HE WAS NINE!!!!! When his brother began to lose weight I was told to see Dr. Nordworthy. Apollo was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma at the age of 11. We began chemotherapy and did everything needed to combat this deadly disease. Dr. Nordsworthy was always available to answer questions, always returned phone c... read more
We have two old male Persians: Sam (14) and Ben (12). Our first experience with Alamo Feline and Dr. Norsworthy started about eight years ago when Sam’s plumbing got plugged up. As you can see below, Sam has bad genes. Dr. N finally had to turn him into a girl. Since then: Blood clots in his heart Two bladder stone operations Hawk attack lacerated his abdomen Bone spur in his spine that left him paralyzed Severe arthritis Two tooth extractions Christmas Eve two years ago we had to take Sam in for constipation. Dr. Gassler (o... read more
