Nasty food and horrrible management!!! When I was dining there once the waitress served me a fried cricket with my enchilada. The waitress just about fainted when she saw it. The cricket didn't just happen along at the last minute either, he was visibly fried golden brown on both sides.
Great place in Suburbia I went to their sister site in Agoura Hills (still called The Alamo), and it was great. Service was friendly, margie's were scrumptious, food was decent. I would definitely go for drinks more than the food, but the food was still good. They have karaoke on Fridays which I missed but would definitely go back for!
Alamo Bar & Grill is great for friend time! I love going out and getting Margaritas with friends. When I am near or around Newbury Park I go to Alamo Bar and Grill. They have good mexican food and you can hang with friends over dinner. Try it!
it cant git more mexican then this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks alamo!! talking about good margaritas , alamo has one that is call cv winner best marg I ever had made with patron tequila & cointreau ,,,and the food is great I had the ENCHILADAS SUIZAS , I never had enchiladas as good as that,,thank you ALAMO!! special thanks for the Bartender Roger,, great margaritas men ....one more please!!!!!!!!
The Seafood Burrito is actually quite good, but the common items (tacos, enchiladas, beans) don't hold a candle to Cisco's.Also, the complaints about the service are very true. They have a unique setup (bar, restaurant, and a walk-up to-go window). On TWO occasions, I waited over 45 minutes to pick up a to-go order that I called in. That was enough for me. Even the seafood burritos aren't worth waiting 45 minutes for.My advice is to skip Alamo, and go to the Red Wok chinese food next door... - BF
