The ER is a joke! At least one of the RN is a hateful person who doesn't pay attention at all during shift change. Trying to tell us our mom was given medicine that was not given to her, when we called her on it, she didn't bother to look on the chart, nope, just said oh must have been another patient. Said she was going to check on patient in 30 minutes, 1 1/2 hours later we go looking for her, after asking another nurse to send her in. she's sitting out at the desk telling jokes and hanging out with other employees. I have never seen a more unprofessional emergency room department. I have been waiting for my son to be seen for three hours. I have witnessed staff on their cell phones visiting and talking the entire time I have been here. One young nurse came out for at least 30 minutes to sit beside the young officer on duty and flirt/talk with him. It was my understanding that a hospital's focus should be on its patients. Instead of all this staff in the ER room walking around talking and conversation, somebody needs to be working and maybe things will move a lot faster. Very unacceptable, someone needs to come in and clean house, if you're not working or don't want to work then stay at home.
Been in ER with my uncle since 215 waiting on Orthopedic that had t been in at 830 when I left. Broken left hip confirmed by a nurse with X-ray pics,just laying on stretcher in ER for more than 6 hours with no answers is miserable! Yes they’re busy but if you’re that backed up with ortho, call in another!!!!
They saved my life...the emergency room and being admitted....the nursing the doctors the response to what I needed couldn’t have been anymore professional loving and awesome 😎 Thank you !
I am a RN but found myself on the other end as a patient approximately 6 months ago. I work at a different healthcare system & have their insurance that will pay only if I go to a facility by my employer. (After all this, it ended up since it was an emergent visit & I was admitted, my insurance paid! Whew!) However, I live just minutes from ARMC.
