We are so lucky to have a world-class symphony in Birmingham, and I can't recommend highly enough the experience of attending an ASO concert - whether in the concert hall or in the community, at one of the concerts in a park or at a brewery. I'm always glad when I attend a performance and plan to keep attending as long as I can!
The musicians are excellent! the song selections are always a huge disappointment as many friends also say. I will give an example: If I go to hear music from a particular musical you don't play the long time favorites but the songs no one remembers. I have decided not to attend concerts due to this constantly happening. If a famous composers work is featured you can be counted on to feature his least known or remembered pieces. sorry to be brutally honest but this opinion is shared by every music lover I know.
Excellent performance! Fun for the whole family especially all Star Wars fans! Alabama is fortunate to have a venue like the BJCC Concert Hall and a professional symphony.
