It's a great place where community comes first. It's great how everyone comes together to make North Alabama a better place to live county by county and Community by community.
What a wonderful top-notch organization and staff. AHEC is serving out state daily through enhanced education experiences, scholarships, and professional mentorship for college students. They provide invaluable local programs addressing the healthcare needs of underserved and rural communities. And they work tirelessly to improve and enhance the healthcare workforce needs of Alabama.
This program is amazing and a great addition to any medical training! The wealth of knowledge received is incomparable!
Being part of the AHEC Program has made me look forward to not only what I can do within my community for future patients but also what I can do right now. AHEC has given me multiple opportunities to grow in my communication skills, and be well knowledgeable in my surroundings. I am so thankful I found AHEC when I did and get to finish my last year of college in this program. I would definitely recommend AHEC to anyone!
Alabama AHEC has been great at educating, raising awareness and serving rural communities across the state. The community health workers have done a fantastic job of providing accessible testing at countless events.
