Beware. A routine eye lid surgery that was done in less than 2 hours, with over 1 hour waiting, and our insurance company was billed $9,752.00. And the work was done was less than satisfactory and are now looking for someone to fix the poor work done. Avoid anything to do with UAB medical.

Dr. Stanner found out my Mother had NPH-water on the brain. He listened to me when no one else would because the MRI didn't show the disease. Dr. Stanner looked behind her left eye and found the water. Quickly we went to Brookwood Hospital and I was never so put at ease and putting a shunt in my Mother's head at 74 years old was quite scary. Dr. Michael Callahan did my eyelid surgery and I am very pleased with the results. He and his staff kept me comfortable during the entire process. He also removed my cataract. With that surgery I received the same great treatment. And, I was back at work the next day. Dr. Thompson has managed my eye care needs ever since my surgeries.
